Randy Travis revealed another “never-before-heard” track from the vault on Friday (August 7).
The beloved country legend, 67, released “I Don’t Care” which showcases “the timeless vocals and classic country sound that made him a superstar,” states a press release. “With deeply emotional lyrics, Randy tells the story of a relationship that has fallen apart because of broken trust, leaving both love and hope behind. As he reflects on the pain of betrayal, he reaches a point where he no longer cares what happens, knowing that the trust and love they once shared can never be restored. It's a powerful and emotionally charged performance that is sure to become another unforgettable addition to his irreplaceable catalog of music.”

“I Don’t Care” is Travis’ latest song to arrive as he gets ready to release his first album of new music in nearly two decades. The project is due to arrive later this year, according to the press release; however, the exact release date and title have not been announced as of publication time. Last month, Travis delivered “Fish On” from the upcoming record, produced by Kyle Lehning.
Before “Fish On,” Travis released some groundbreaking new music with the help of AI (Artificial Intelligence), including Where That Came From,” “Horses In Heaven” and “Where My Heart Is.” His wife, Mary, told iHeartCountry in 2024 that it was an “emotional” experience to hear the country legend’s voice again. Travis suffered a stroke in 2013, leaving him with lasting damage to the part of the brain that controls speech and language. Mary said after her husband released his first AI-assisted single, “it was so beautiful to hear that voice.“
Travis is releasing his first new record of new music in 18 years as he celebrates the 40th anniversary of his debut album. Travis released Storms Of Life in 1986. He’s also continuing his “More Life Tour.” See the dates below, and listen to “I Don’t Care” here:
