Caroline Bryan shared a sweet birthday tribute to her husband, country superstar Luke Bryan, to celebrate his 50th birthday on Friday (July 17).
Caroline, 46, shared a reel on Instagram with photos of the family over the years. She set it to “Stuck With You,” a 1986 song by Huey Lewis & The News. She wrote in her caption: “Happy 50th Birthday, Love Bug! Still glad to be stuck with you. Love you to the moon and back 🌙❤️”
Luke and Caroline met in college. The “Love You, Miss You, Mean It” artist said during an appearance on The Jennifer Hudson Show last year that “we met in the most beautiful scenario: a college bar. It was a college bar, and we were both going to college, and it was a total deal where I saw her in the bar and kind of made my way over there’d told my stupid little one-liners. And here we are, you know, 18 and a half years later.” Later this year, they’ll celebrate their 20th anniversary.
The couple said “I do” in an intimate wedding in Turks and Caicos in December 2006. The Georgia-born country star previously shared his favorite, “so goofy” photo from the couple’s wedding day. The snapshot captured the bride and groom walking side-by-side on the beach, grabbing one another’s butts. Luke previously told PEOPLE, “We got married in Turks and Caicos. It was a really small wedding — just close family and friends. …There's a photo of Caroline and I walking down the beach squeezing each other's butts that we love. It's our same personalities we have today — just so goofy. …Whenever we look at our wedding album, that one always makes us laugh — it was and still is pretty funny. Great memory.”
”I married my college sweetheart,” Bryan said in a previous statement via his record label. “We dated back in college and broke up for nearly six years, and while I was off doing my Nashville stuff and touring and writing songs, she was finishing getting her career kind of going. Man, we just kinda bumped into each other one night, and it was like bam, here we are married.”
