Luke Combs confirmed there’s a hidden “Easter egg” in the music video he recently premiered with NASCAR legends Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Richard Petty.
The powerhouse singer-songwriter revealed new details about the making of the Tyler Adams-directed “Back in the Saddle” visual in a footnotes video shared on Thursday (August 28). Combs is quoted: “Daytona 499. Go back and watch the video and you’ll see what I mean. And one day it will make sense. That’s all I can say for now.”
Combs tagged fellow songwriters Jonathan Singleton and The Brothers Hunt — God’s Country podcast hosts Dan and Reid Isbell — when he teased the single on social media. “Back in the Saddle” released last month. Combs, who previously shared a behind-the-scenes look, first started teasing his latest anthem when he shared a “life update” earlier this year, which also included an “Easter egg.”
Combs said at the time that he’s “getting back in the saddle here. Back in the studio. I’m very excited about that.” He added in his caption caption that “there also may or may not be an Easter egg regarding new music in this video that will one day make sense.”
