Carrie Underwood reminisced on some of her 2005 fashion moments on American Idol.

Underwood made her highly-anticipated return to the competition show as a judge in the show’s current season, marking a full circle moment 20 years after her career-launching victory. First, Underwood shared a clip on Instagram on Monday evening (March 31) taking a look back at her wardrobe during one of her performances as a contestant. An off-camera voice asked, “hey, Carrie. Would you sign this for me?” The Grammy-winning artist smiled and laughed when she looked at the photo.

“This is — I don’t know who this is. She’s got a lot of hair going on,” Underwood reacted. The photograph shows the singer, then in her early 20s, on the Idol stage covering Heart’s iconic late 80s anthem, “Alone.” Underwood teased her hair high and wore black jeans, a white top with a black belt over it, and a bedazzled black jacket during the performance. When asked what she was thinking when she chose the outfit, Underwood replied: “I was thinking I had to stay in budget because I ain’t have no money. I had to work with what I had, man. …I still have this, by the way. I’m pretty sure I still have this entire outfit. It’s in a box in a basement somewhere. But we might have to break it out. I don’t know. I bet we could find it.”

The off-camera voice said, “we look forward to the reprise of the outfit.”

On Monday evening, Underwood also shared a look back at her Hollywood week look as part of a sneak peek of the next Idol To Icon episode, which premiered on Tuesday (April 1). Underwood launched the Idol To Icon online series to share what she remembers about her time as a contestant during the show’s fourth season as she makes her emotional return as a judge. The Denim & Rhinestones star joins fellow judges Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan, and reunites with longtime host Ryan Seacrest, who crowned Underwood the winner in 2005.

“My Hollywood week fit check here,” Underwood said in the sneak peek. “I believe these are probably the same jeans that I wore in my initial audition with the pink top. I just changed the pink top to a white top and called it a day. once again, I was working with a limited closet and budget. You will never go wrong with just a pair of jeans that are comfortable and are obviously your favorite, and a white t-shirt. I mean, there’s been songs written about it. You know what I mean? Just jeans and a white tank, or a white T. You’re good to go.”
