Charles Kelley’s wife, Cassie Kelley, posted a video on Instagram on Tuesday (April 1) to share how she told her husband and the couple’s 9-year-old son whether Baby No. 2 is a boy or a girl.
Cassie’s gender reveal for the baby arrives shortly after the couple announced the pregnancy. They posted a few family photos by photographer Mary Craven Dawkins to reveal the “biggest surprise of our lives.” Cassie said her firstborn son, Ward, is “the MOST excited” to be a big brother when Baby No. 2 is born in early fall 2025.

Charles celebrated and Ward excitedly jumped up and down when he learned he would have a little brother.
Kelley’s Lady A bandmate, Hillary Scott, announced earlier this year that she and her husband are expecting Baby No. 4. When the Kelleys announced Cassie’s pregnancy, Scott beamed that this “makes 9 [Lady A] kiddos! ❤️” Kelley is a dad to Ward and Baby No. 2. Scott’s Baby No. 4 joins big sisters Eisele Kaye, 11, and twins Betsy and Emory, 7. Lady A bandmate Dave Haywood and his wife are parents to Cash Van, 10, Lillie Renee, 7, and Joseph Michael, who was born in July 2024.
