Priscilla Block delivered a stunning cover of a hit song by Jason Aldean.
Block shared the video on Instagram on Tuesday (September 3). The North Carolina-born âMy Barâ singer, 29, said âThe Truthâ itâs âone of my all time favoriteâ songs by Aldean. He released the heartache single on his 2009 album, Wide Open, a project that also included âCrazy Town,â âSheâs Country,â âBig Green Tractorâ and more.
âJust don't tell 'em I've gone crazy/ That I'm still strung out over you/ Tell 'em anything you want to/ Just don't tell 'em all the truth/ Yeah, don't tell 'em all the truthâ
Block added in her Instagram caption, â[Ashley Monroe] saw a clip of you singing this at the bluebird the other night and it inspired me to pick up my guitar and play it. Thank you for writing this song for the world đâ Monroe penned âThe Truthâ with songwriter Brett James, and performed it at the Bluebird Cafe in Nashville, Tennessee. The intimate, storied venue has hosted performances by legendary singer-songwriters and rising artists for decades.
Blockâs most recent song to release is âGood On You,â followed by the acoustic version that debuted last month. Aldean announced on Friday (August 30) that he and Luke Bryan âteamed up with one of our country music heroes for a new take on a classic song,â he wrote in a caption on Instagram. Itâs set to arrive on September 13.
