Kane Brown and his wife, Katelyn Jae are eagerly awaiting the arrival of their baby girl, Kingsley Rose Brown. As this is the couple's first child, they've been seeking advice from friends such as Jason Aldean who simply says to be ready because "She's going to have you wrapped around your finger."
Additionally, ahead of the baby's arrival, Brown has been working on new music. Inspired by his past experience of growing up without a father and his upcoming journey into fatherhood, Brown recently shared a preview of a new song "Grew Up Without A Dad."
Just a little over a month ago, the "Good As You" singer took to Instagram to share just the lyrics of the new song in a post captioned, "Song to my baby girl." The heartfelt lyrics left fans anxious and excited to actually hear the track.
Weeks after sharing just the lyrics, Brown revealed a preview of the recorded song. Earlier this week (October 8), the singer shared a video recording on Instagram of him singing the main chorus of the new song, "Grew Up Without A Dad."
"They say dads are suppose to shape you / In a way I guess mine did / I knew what I wouldn't do if I ever had a kid / They say history repeats itself, but I guess that's up to me / I grew up without a dad so I'm gonna be the best on I can be / Yeah I'm gonna be a dad and I'm gonna be the best one I can be," Brown sings in the chorus.
Since posting it, already over 500,000 people have listened the unreleased track. It's safe to say the song, although not officially released yet, has already touched the hearts of many fans.
"From one guy who didn't have a father this song is perfect," one fan comments on the video. Another writes, "Crying...you'll be the best dad! My son will never know his dad, all I can think about is him when I listen to this."
Kingsley is expected to arrive very soon, possible as soon as this month. Additionally, Brown and Katelyn will celebrate their one-year wedding anniversary this upcoming weekend.
