"I have had a ton of emails and texts asking me if this website is real. The answer is an absolute YES," Kid Rock tweeted. "I will have a major announcement in the near future," he continued in a follow-up tweet.
Stay tuned, I will have a major announcement in the near future - Kid Rock— Kid Rock (@KidRock) July 12, 2017
Don't get your hopes up yet if you're ready to vote for Rock. As CNN noted, a spokeswoman for the Federal Election Committee said there had been no filing under Rock's name or his legal name Robert James Ritchie or Robert Ritchie.
KidRockForSenate.com features a photo of Rock sitting next to a stuffed moose in a politician's office but only features a link to buy merchandise, which redirects to Warner Bros. Records website.
CNN also reached out to his publicist for more information but were only told, "As of right now, please refer to https://www.facebook.com/kidrock/. More soon!"
Kid Rock has been a vocal supporter of Donald Trump and was recently photographed in the White House with fellow Conservative rocker Ted Nugent and former Governor of Alaska Sarah Palin.
